K.H. Ahmad Dahlan

Kiai Haji Ahmad Dahlan or Muhammad Darwis is an Indonesian National Hero who is the founder of Muhammadiyah.  He was the fourth of seven children of the K.H.  Abu Bakr. nation through

 Spouse: Nyai Ahmad Dahlan (m. ?–1923)

 Parents: Nyai Abu Bakr, KH Abu Bakr his progressive movement.  He is the founder of an Islamic organization called Muhammadiyah, one of the largest mass organizations in Indonesia.


 Ahmad Dahlan was born in Kauman village, Yogyakarta, under the auspices of Sri Sultan Hamengkubuwono VII on August 1, 1868. He has the first name Muhammad Darwis.


 Some literature states that he is a descendant of Ki Ageng Gribig (one of the scholars of the Mataram era) and Maulana Ibrahim (Sunan Gresik).
